Technology for Seniors

NZCA Canterbury’s STAR (SocialTechnologyAwarenessResource) Group is where members share knowledge and experience to support one another to learn new technology.

There will be regular sessions to encourage members to discover how technology and devices such as cell phones, iPads, tablets and computers can enhance their lives. Volunteer tutors will assist according to self-paced individual needs.

With the numbers of people showing interest in this learning opportunity, our first session will concentrate on beginning basics for cell phones. Bring your own phone, if you already have one.

We welcome the tremendous support that Spark (re-branded company name for Telecom) has recently agreed to contribute to our innovative programme.

FIRST session will be Sunday 11 June, 1:30 – 3:30pm

Upper Riccarton Library, Learning Centre room

71 Main South Rd, Sockburn, CHCH 8042

If you, or any member of your family, wish to attend, please register your interest so we can assess the level of interest and how often to hold these sessions.

We will contact you to confirm details before your first session.
