You will be guided through a workbook that you keep at the end of the course, so please remember to bring a pen and reading glasses. Cost is $5 contribution towards morning tea and lunch.

NZCA Canterbury’s STAR (SocialTechnologyAwarenessResource) Group is where members share knowledge and experience to support one another to learn new technology.
There will be regular sessions to encourage members to discover how technology and devices such as cell phones, iPads, tablets and computers can enhance their lives. Volunteer tutors will assist according to self-paced individual needs.
With the numbers of people showing interest in this learning opportunity, our first session will concentrate on beginning basics for cell phones. Bring your own phone, if you already have one.
We welcome the tremendous support that Spark (re-branded company name for Telecom) has recently agreed to contribute to our innovative programme.

An Annual General Meeting of the Canterbury Branch of the New Zealand Chinese Association will be held at the Association Hall, 22 St Asaph Street on Sunday 30th April 2017 at 2.00pm. Following the AGM, an afternoon tea will beprovided by the Association .

The 2017 Jung Festival will be held at the Association Hall, 22 St Asaph Street, on
Sunday 28th May at 12.00 noon. A luncheon consisting of a variety of tasty Chinese dishes including Jung will be served. Bring along family and friends to celebrate the Jung Festival.
An entry fee will be collected at the door:- Members - $8, Non-members - $15,
Students 12-15 years - $8, Children under 12 years - Free. Donations will be kindly accepted.
Due to construction work around the Hall, the committee is looking into alternative carparking sites for our members. We will keep you informed once approval of sites become available.
