69th Annual NZ Chinese Association Sports and Cultural Tournament 2017


NZCA Canterbury branch will be hosting the 69th Annual NZCA Sports and Cultural Tournament in Christchurch during Easter weekend from Friday 14th – Monday 17th April 2017. Planning is well underway in organising this major sporting event on the NZCA calendar.


Please express your interest to help support or be part of this great event for the many NZCA members to meet up, make new friends and to rekindle old friendships.

If you would like to participate in the various sports, assist with organising social functions, Opening/Closing ceremonies, cafeteria and administrators, we invite you to join our enthusiastic team.

The tournament is open to all members and their families of the Association.

While we have volunteers who are contributing their endless effort and time, we also require much needed financial support from our community in the form of advertising or sponsorship.


A tournament magazine will be published to commemorate this annual event. This includes important information regarding the rules, venues, social activities and player profiles from participating centres. Line Dancers Wanted for 2017 NZCA Cultural Show

Canterbury branch will be presenting a cultural show as part of the formal Opening Ceremony.

The Line Dance group requires ladies or men to perform in their dance routine.

Practice will be held from Saturday 5th February mornings from 11-12noon at the Chinese Hall.

No dance experience required. Come along to keep fit and have fun.
